Writing

Writing is how I bridge observation and meaning, feeling and action. It taught me that how we tell stories about place shapes how people relate to it, and that design language reveals whose voices matter. I write to articulate why certain landscapes feel like home, why some spaces invite a sense of belonging. In contrast, others enforce exclusion, and this is why the climate crisis demands reimagined relationships with the living world. Writing is how I explore the inseparability of biophilic design, climate resilience, and community, and argue that the way we shape our environments says everything about what we value and whom we value it for.

01

Into Yellowstone

Through the fog of breath and squeaking snow, we learn to measure distance differently. The ski tracks behind us fade like Morse code while the tremendous dark mass emerges ahead - prehistoric, patient, wearing winter like an ancient inheritance. We call this watching, this careful choreography of space between species, but it's listening. To the whisper of snow on fur, to the slow certainty of survival, to the way silence holds its breath when two worlds acknowledge each other and choose to let the moment pass unmarked.

02

The Maze

Getting lost led us here - past the confident lines of mapped roads into this territory of unexpected blooming. The flower doesn't care that we've taken a wrong turn, that the Maze remains a mystery for another day. It holds its improbable color against the desert's pale palette like a reminder: sometimes the journey writes itself, and the best stories begin with wheels spinning in red sand, with looking up from our intended path to find something wild and perfect declaring itself.

Cowboy

Cowboy knows better than to question the narrowing walls, the way the sun falls in slices between high desert walls. His mission is movement, the pure poetry of forward, each paw finding purchase on ancient seabeds. The backpack makes him official, though he's carried weightier things - our trust, our tendency to overthink the simple physics of faith. Here, in this squeeze of geological time, he demonstrates the art of the present: tail high, eyes bright, showing us how to wear adventure like a bandana, cheerful and undaunted.

Passion

Dreams start small - a pebble's width of path, a thimble-sized fire pit where future stories wait to be told. You build tomorrow in miniature first, each careful placement a promise: here is where the stars will find you thinking; here is where the tea will steep while rain taps green music from leaves. You're already there in the model's tiny kingdom, watching the smoke curl up from fire no more significant than hope, planning how to grow your life into the space imagination has carved.
